cigarettesandcoffeestains asked: I just saw your post for norwegian wood, and i being in love Haruki Murakami's work, it's the best piece i have seen ANYONE draw in regards to his books. Instant follow! And keep up the good work!! Beautiful!!

i am really incredibly flattered, thank you so much, you are such a babe! ♡ murakami is one of my all time favorite authors and it’s a small dream of mine to one day illustrate one of his books fully just for myself. (so sorry for such a late reply!)

i’m pretty sure i said it was vintage aka my local charity shop. charity shops are great for finds for the home/frames!

Anonymous asked: if you dont use your moleskine for drawing, what fo you use now? ♡

cries i haven’t drawn in a very long time, most of the time i now just draw straight onto the computer or in the corner on scraps of paper i find lying around aka debit card statements. (been trying to get back into moleskines tho!)

Anonymous asked: Is it possible for you to do a tutorial on how you edit your photos (specifically the ones from Brighton)? The colors in them are absolutely beautiful!

sorry for such a late reply but i used crossprocess app on my iphone (seriously buy it, it’s so cheap but so worth it!), and i think like i turned off all the settings and only kept it on basic or something like that. wish i could be more helpful but glad you liked them!

I finally received a bound copy of my summer research book, titled “Perfected to Death” which I had to research/create/design for uni. My research topic was on how advertising uses women’s bodies against us and generally dissecting a lot of reasons behind advertising and why it’s so powerful. I wrote way more about it on my blog with more photos and you can actually read the complete book online.

Anonymous asked: hello, i've been meaning to ask you what pens do you use to write in your moleskine? also, great work!

ty! erm i don’t actually draw in a moleskine nowadays but i have a moleskine diary for.. organising/date/uni stuff? but for inking i only use pentel pocket brush, indian ink and unipin 0.1, 0.2, 0.3 and 0.5 pens!

aegi asked: You art is fantastical! Especially your Hyosung fanarts ;; Her hair looks amazing. I was a little curious about something, what font did you use for your header image (Kitten Waves) and where did you get the images you used to link to your blogspot and flickr?

thank you so much i am glad you like them! the typeface is called “Skinny” and i drew those little button images myself in photoshop because i hated all the horrid buttons/link images these sites have!

hallwayfriends asked: if u like nakamura asumiko, do u like aubrey beardsley too? it's funny to me how his stuff (and therefore art nouveau) was influenced by japanese woodcuts, and then it comes full circle generations later with nakamura's stuff. probably not the closest influence but there's something about those two and alphonse mucha that seems so distinct but in sync. who are some of ur favorite illustrators? p.s. maybe u culd do a fanart of utena if u like her, i havent seen a single good fan utena on tumblr!

i used to like beardsley a lot when i was younger, i’ve kind of forgotten about him recently but every time i come across his art, esp his linework i swoooooonnn. i also think it’s really interesting how art from across the world can influence someone elses, so yeah i definitely agree! i answered the illustrator question before BUTTT my ultimate favourite is jc leyendecker (i could never ever get tired of his work) and also egon schiele is a very close second! omg i’ve been trying to but i would probably ruin utena, and there are SO MANY GORGEOUS FANARTS of utena on tumblr what do you mean :’(

cries i just want to gush over this message over and over, thank you and i wish the best to you too!! ♡
