Creative Review - Camberwell graphics and illustration degree shows
the lovely people at Creative Review blogged about the camberwell degree show and featured my work in their post! so nice to see so many fellow talented friends and graduates on there, highly recommend you go and read the post if you didn’t get a chance to come to the show!
some instagram photos of my work being exhibited at my final degree show at camberwell college of arts, UAL last week! i created a book and some prints and will post better photos of it once i get it back but basically, i have officially finished university forever and ever now! yay!
real life, i am ready for you!
hi there! i wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who showed their interest in my “girls i do not know” zine! i literally can’t believe the response i got to it and i’m so incredibly touched! this means that it will definitely go ahead and the first batch of 20 copies will be ready by end of june! once the first batch is done and i can see how they are selling, i can make more or less accordingly and it will be a much faster process.
some people have asked me how to get one: once i have made the first batch and worked out the costs etc it will be available to order through big cartel and the payment will be done via paypal. i will post up all the links and all the information once everything is ready to print. (unfortunately i’m not going to do pre-orders this time so if you are really keen on getting one, the best way is to just keep an eye on my blog, but i will give you a couple of days notice letting you know when the store is open!)
again, the biggest thanks from the bottom of my heart for being such lovely darlings. ♡
hello everyone! ♡
i have some very exciting news to announce! i have made my first 16-page zine, which is one of my small projects from earlier on in the year. the zine is hand cut and bound, with 12 brand new illustrations (which won’t be posted anywhere else!), printed in black and white on 80gsm paper. i would love to make more copies of it and selling this zine for quite cheaply (i’ll be able to ship it anywhere in the world too!) so i thought i would post about it here to see if there’s a demand for it at all! (i would also like to make some A4/A3 posters to go with it which will be printed on better quality and some more zines to follow up in this series but that’ll only happen if this zine goes well!) either way, let me know if any of you guys would be interested in getting one of these little silly things! much love ♡
side note: there is a terrible preview video of the zine (albeit the first initial mock up) up on my instagram if anyone is curious!
a small something from my university project - biro pen birds!
hi there! thanks! i really enjoyed my time at camberwell, the tutors are amazing and the entire university feels very much like a community. i did both FdA graphic design (not to be confused with foundation year) and the third year top of BA (hons) graphic design, which are separate courses based on separate principles/things - FDA is more industry-led and more, answering briefs and i suppose, slightly more “traditional” design eg branding) but BA is much more experimental and can lean more towards fine art/theory/wider understanding of graphic design so it depends on what you’re interested in!
i highly recommend you come to one of the open days and speak to the students studying or come to our end of year degree show in june to get a taste of what things students do and to see if it’s right for you before applying! our open days are super fun and sometimes i work there as an ambassador to answer any questions/give tours! (feel free to send me any more specific questions if you have any and i can answer them better!)
i’m getting more general questions about camberwell recently so thought i’d post this publicly for anyone else who is interested!
more GIRLS! a pair i drew earlier this evening, all in preparation for a little secret project i’m doing but will be able to show you all very soon! hope you like them!
did a dumb illustration thing (sort of)
haha i’m the new talented mr ripley!
in all seriousness though, i really should have re-read through my comment before posting it so it didn’t sound so vague, LESSON NOTED FOR THE FUTURE!
from a secret personal little project i’m doing ♡♡♡
nowhere as it’s not actually a comic, just some illustrations i made! apologies that the comic panel illustration caused so much confusion!
hello there! thank you for the kind words! actually, ‘my girlfriend is a badass’ is just my own creation and it isn’t a comic - i just made one of the illustrations look like one! maybe one day it will be! at the moment there are only two images from it, the ones i posted on my tumblr.
(posting this publicly as i seem to have confused a lot of people and get this type of message regularly, so i do apologise for the confusion!)
